Ok well I'll go cruising the local junk yards on CL and see whats out there for diameter, length, and connections.

So would most small car cv axles work, or could be made to work? What cv axles have some of you used or have seen that were used?

Sorry to hear that your kart was stolen, but glad to se it provided a new better opportunity for you. Thats a good age for them to help you with a build, just keep them interested in it and it'll teach them some good skills. good luck on your build.

I dont know how wide it'll be, hopefully not to wide. It'll be my sand, snow, mud and trail kart so being super wide isnt what im after. I dont want it to tip over from being to narrow, but i dont need the wingspan of a 747 lol. Yea i saw that a couple days ago, if you still have them come...

I will be buying a yfz450 front end, spindles, brakes, dual a-arms and maybe shocks. The rear end will be the challenge for irs. And my frame will be getting plenty of struses and some front bars, so it'll be a handful.

So Im having trouble rapping me head around designing/buying parts for a irs with cv axles. I found Theo's design of his irs and really like it, but he said those cv axles could only hold 30-50hp. I plan on running a 500-700cc sled engine so i need some stout cv axles. These look purddy but...

Ok I'll try that again, tried it before and it said zero results, idk why. Hopefully build a front suspension setup on my kart with them or some like them. Ok and yea thats the other thing that crossed my mind is finding the right spindle or hub, steering linkage, and brakes that will match.

Well im having trouble finding A-arms or coming up with ideas for the kart. But I found these while searching CL http://medford.craigslist.org/mcy/2987274464.html . Would these work on the front of a kart? And do you guys have any other ideas or pics for front a-arms? I've googgled searched and...

Oh ok, and yes it does have the adjustable pilot. And the carb was dry thankfully and all the ports were clear of debris when i sprayed carb cleaner through them. Now its time to find some parts.

Yea there's only 2 stickers on the engine, no metal tags. One sticker gives the weight of oil to use and has some warnings on it, the other just says ariens 5hp. Ok I'll clean up the shroud some and post some pics, hopefully we can identify it. I'd rather rebuild it than go buy one from harbor...

Thanks, but i need to finish these other 3 projects before i start buying up other trikes. And I did get the frame cleaned up and painted it yesterday. The fresh gloss black looks a lot better than the old fading black and rusting frame. Today I'll start getting the fiberglass sanded down.

Yea it'll get something like ss or diamond plate fenders and engine cover. It'll look something like what the original fibergalss looked like, just better. And some bigger hp is planned for it too, no harbor freight 6hp. And ford blue is i was planning on painting the frame.

Ok I got the blower off and there was a set of numbers. Inside a circle there was a 13 under that was a '1A1 0368', outside and above the circle was an 'A'. Does anyone know what this means or where i can look it up or part for it? Or maybe it was lAl 0368
