Need advice on a potential project

It's an old '80s Suzuki frame. Has a salvage title, and I plan to get it licensed. I don't care to ride it on the highway but it'd be cool to cruise these back roads out where i live in SW Ohio

Need advice on a potential project

I appreciate the feedback. Even with an engine that big and a bike that weighs a couple hundred pounds?

Need advice on a potential project

I was given a motorcycle frame. It is older, but cool looking, has good tires, brakes, lights, everything to be road legal. No engine though. What would be any issues with just making up a mount and bolting on a 420cc predator and battery, with a 40 series comet and 12 tooth drive sprocket with...

    odd build

sideshaft or vertical shaft? suspension is a pain but can be nice. there are a few suspension builds on here, if your going to incorporate it, i would do it while your stretching the frame so as to get all of your metalwork done up front.

Made my decision, now for gearing . . .

you think i should gear the same with two engines? what would be the point of having 2 then? and its all original . . . i can see the welds where things have been repaired, but all other welds appear to be original. it has too big of front and rear bumpers to be a race kart, but its low, has...

Made my decision, now for gearing . . .

ok, ordered the new tires, they are 4.10/3.50-6 so they are 12.5 inches tall. what kind of speed should i shoot for using two clones? i just figured if one clone can put me at 25 mph or so then two should sufficiently put me around 50 . . . any advice is appreciated.

Made my decision, now for gearing . . .

Im no expert with gearing, but with the old twin engine race kart i found that its probably an old concession kart, so its not worth much. however, it has a killer stance, and will be a good looking kart when im finished. So, I was thinking 2 212 clones, on floating motor mounts, each with a...

    Questions for the Rupp/Clark Buffs

thats what i thought too, but if the rear part was added later, the person adding it probably added the twin engine mounts because theyre all welded to fit together. it all looks original to me. Orange Krate, I thought i might hear from you about the wheels before i posted this lol. Ive been a...

    Questions for the Rupp/Clark Buffs

It looks to me like it has dual mechanical brakes. one on each rear hub. I've never seen this before. the brake has a block that pushes against a shoe that sits inside of a housing built into either side's sprocket/hub assy. its a pretty neat idea. I would have never thought of it. it looks like...
