    Tractor guys thread

You can tell where my loyalty stands. This doesn't incude the 2 Craftsman trimmers, 2 push mowers, 3 table saws, and 2 toolboxes, chain saw, and othe other old tractors. The middle one has a Kohler CV730 that has had nothing but problems since day 1. The 6spd (Left) has a Briggs 22hp and the II...

Getting the plastic off a quad

Deep Creep, Freeze Off, and a Map mini torch will be your best friend. Had to undo fork bolts and that was the best combo.

When your life is in the hands of Harbor Freight

OHHHHHHHH on the contrary! We have some of the strictest inspection laws out there. If your tire size doesnt match the door, you fail, if you have a lift, you'll most likely fail, if you have uncoated steel lines, they'll try and fail you. They JUST passed frame patches as legal but has to look...

When your life is in the hands of Harbor Freight

She's still go some life left to her. I got a LIMA 2.3 engine that came from a sprint car that makes about 285/305 on the dyno. But its designed to bolt up to a Muncie and I've gotten so used to not having 2nd. Time to break out the crossfire and see how more butchered this thing can get!

When your life is in the hands of Harbor Freight

So I don't know about anyone else but seems like Harbor Freight has been responsible for my life functions on more than one occasion. This here is an example. This is MaxiPad (Reason of that not family safe) and she has been my slave, mule, life saver, scrap runner, getaway vehicle, and most...

Will this work for a Hemi 212?

Sometimes speed isn't the issue. Where I use to.live when I was little (LOOOOOONG before the law was run by Karens) it was 15% grades both directions so I went fancy and went HUGE driven sprocket, tiny driver sprocket and I used a chainsaw engine. It was just to provide enough torque to assist...

    Tractor guys thread

Picked this up for free on a scrap run. What I can tell of stamps its a 1987 Model. Had a 11hp Briggs on it but thanks to Covid boredom I got a slightly modified Polaris 330 and live axle with a 520 48t sprocket off a mud buggy build. I'm thinking true mid engine, change to rack and pinion...

What kind of go kart/buggy is this?

It definitely looks like a Scorpion or Magnum but whoever did the "Mods" they hacked it to hell. I would DEFINITELY make sure that when they stretched the chassis they did it correctly and rosette welded a pipe or round within the frame rails. If not you're lookin at death in no time

    Quick bits

This was my Xmas. That new Xmember is gonna outlast the rest of the truck by about 200yrs. Only gotta do about 10hr of metal work on the bed and she's golden.

Green/crap brown Xmas for us! 58 degrees, 40-65mph winds, and about 7" of snow magically turned into brown grass and mud in less than 24hr. Even got some miles on the Spyder today! But snow, back into the 20s, and even more wind over the next few days.

    LED lights series or paralel

In laymans terms Series = 1/2 brightness for LED, incondescent, or Halogen lights. Parallel is best option and less load on the circuit.

Got a couple of GT5000s and a '84 Bombardier MPV20 twin PTO. Old machine , hard on parts sourcing, but only thing I can legally drive on the street and it'll do 28mph. 3spd, 2 Range, 4x4 with front locker. Never seen a more lelibale workhorse. My Case 480C seems to be in parts more than it is...

    Quick bits

Got Drunk, Got Bored, Got Noisy... and failed miserably. At least it does the job. And this is exactly why I ordered a Hobart 115v. 3 layers of halved 33" 1/8 steel drums stacked, push bar from an old lawn roller, and a Honda GL1500 axle bolt to mount it to the pushplates. 82lbs, and it...

    Quick bits

This was my weekend. Next day the weight caused the bottom of the trunk to snap and rip off the mains pole off the house. It was fun because now I have to replace part of the porch roof. Super FML moment.

I really need to take a hint and decline freebies

If I didn't throw them into the woods from rage I'd take pic of the #4 Jet thread tube literally turning into powder and the broken float pin mount thing on #2. And I can't even use anything if I don't have #2 because that one has the accelerator pump. This would be a good excuse to try a Rotax...
