    Sprocket & Clutch problems

$50 plus 2 weeks of shipping and about 3 hours of getting the sprocket to fit around the axle = one arm and leg. ($50 for me is a pretty chunk of change out of my pay check.) I'd like to ride it on both, but more so dirty

    Sprocket & Clutch problems

:mad2: :censored: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: So how big should my sprocket be with 11" tires and 14" tires???

Its 53 teeth on a 11" tire. Im going to get 14" tires for the back. Will that work? The sprocket has a 8" diameter.

    Predator gas tank hitting seat

Here's a pic of my setup to give you an idea of where to put it. I'm using the 212 Predator.

    Sprocket & Clutch problems

I would if the sprocket didnt cost an arm and a leg . I'm going to buy bigger tires when the next opportunity came, meaning the next time I'm near a Tracktor Supply. :roflol:

    Sprocket & Clutch problems

I was thinks about putting something under the engine like that, right now I have 1" bolt spacers and like you said ill probably be better off with some kind of frame I can bolt under the engine. Nope! My sprocket is too big. Its a bout 1" bigger than what I was hoping to get. XD

    Sprocket & Clutch problems

Yes, thats exactly it. And was thinking the samething, it didn't sound good when I turned the wheel anyway. Any ideas to make it higher? I was thinking about putting some big nuts under the engine.

    Sprocket & Clutch problems

Soo, I just got my sprocket and put it on my wheel. When I mounted my engine to the frame I noticed the centrifugal clutch was connecting to the sprocket directly without a chain. I'm wondering if its ok to leave it like it is and if I do will there be a downside to having this kind of setup...

    Gearing question

Shweet! Thank you both for putting up with my noob question and suggestions. I've ordered my sprocket and will ask my school if I can use their MIG welder. :cheers2: Again thank you both very much!

    Gearing question

So the 5.3:1 will give me speed, and the 6:1 will give me acceleration? I also have to factor in the wieght of the frame with the engine on it, about 85lb and my self, around 150-160, on it to get the most accurate speed. So with either of the sprocket i'd be flying, probable my so with the 60T...

    Gearing question

So with 60T i'd get 6:1? To my understanding, the more teeth the more acceleration and the the less teeth the more power/speed? Also, on my frame there is a broken weld and i'm not sure if I need to weld it back on or if I should soder (that spelt right?) back on or even consider trying to...

    Gearing question

Right now I'm just going to use the wheels I got now, they are 11" tall and my current sprocket is 7" tall, if that helps any. I was playing with the speed calculator and found that a 53t would give me the speed I wanted. Would a 53 teeth sprocket give me pretty good acceleration?

    Gearing question

Ok, I don't think I'm following what you're saying. Do you want the diameter of just the tire itself or the rim or the distance between the bolts??? I'm feeling dumb. >.>
