How do I install a new started/pull cord into my tecumseh 5hp power sport engine, the housing is not held together by nuts its some weird looking nail with a hole in the middle ive never seen before? how do i unscrew these?

This is a Broken in half (bleed valve or jet valve) im not familiar with this and its a piece on my carb for my go kart power sport tecumseh 5HP and when it broke off gas came flooding out! i need help!! please.

do engines ever just die out though?

it does not start at all for sure but not really any resistence, i dont think it was used for a couple years and its not mine so i have no history with this and no history with engines i know nothing about them

ok im just curious if im gonna need a whole new engine because this one doesnt start up

there we go! i know nothing about this go cart i dont know the make or brand or age but its my girlfriends dads and he is giving it to me for free because it needs a new engine maybe a few new engine suggestions would be great too! thanks for the post and everyone who helped me upload these...
