Ok good to know, will adjust. However, without having tension like this on the throttle cable to start, I cannot get full throttle by pushing the pedal all of the way down. Any way to fix that? Move the cable up higher on the pedal?

The way that I have my go kart throttle rigged, there is always tension on the throttle on the motor. It takes a little bit of gas for the torque converter to kick in and the kart to move, so I set the throttle to right around that point so that I don't have to push as far on the pedal to get it...
