Those XR100 motors would be easy to mount to a flat plate. On the bottom of the motor there are 4 threaded holes that on early bikes the footpegs were mounted to...... I'm putting a XR100 motor in to a 98 CR80 frame. Take pictures!!

I wouldnt trust those clamps....... You should also forget about aluminium as its not as forgiving as steel. Get a welder and learn how to weld, with a DVD and some scrap metal you'll be welding like a champ in no time...... Figure it as an investment that will pay for its self over time.

Am I wrong for thinking it will be OK to hang the bearing mounts from the frame (think flag hanging) for a new rear axle? I'll probley mount the hangers "up" a little bit for better welding...... I think its too "bootie fab" because itwill be in single shear I think it will be fine because...
