I got them. And I laughed. Well done.

live axle vs. dual swing arms

And, yes. The crossfire's original shocks are poo... to put it nicely.

live axle vs. dual swing arms

All food for thought. I'm not sure which way I will go. Just bought a camera to start pics, though. Hopefully I can figure it out. Im a lot better with steel than I am with electronic technology.

live axle vs. dual swing arms

I have only driven the kart with the original 150cc engine mounted to the swing arm... Not the greatest ride. Lots of unsprung weight. Either way I plan on mounting the motor to the cockpit and having the swing arm free from bearing the motor's weight. Some money and time is acceptable. I...

live axle vs. dual swing arms

Hey, all. I'm in the tear-down process of my 480 Phazer motor mount onto my Tomberlin crossfire 150R, and have been wondering if it is worth trying to create a chain-drive spool and swing arms and run IRS, or just stick with the single swing arm and live axle on it now. Simplicity and expense...

    snowmobile engine?

I will use all of the sleds drive from primary to jackshaft. I will use the fuel system in it's present condition, as well. I will use the airbox, carbs and exhaust system as they are, also. And I will use the bracketry that mounts the engine on a new frame as killdozer did. The sled is...

    crossfire 150 rims

I have the kart in my possession, but I'm at work so I can't measure. Just thought I'd throw out the question in case someone knew.

    snowmobile engine?

Thanks. I was hoping so. I have the complete sled and it runs great, but track, steering and other non-essential parts are shot. I will begin shortly and post pics/videos of progress. Awesome!!!

    snowmobile engine?

Will a snowmobile (1985 Yamaha Phazer 480 fan cooled) engine work on a kart if you properly jet it? I've heard both yes and no but would like some REAL advice from someone here. Thanks.

    crossfire 150 rims

Are most go kart tires interchangeable or are they specific to brand? I'm looking for a spare set with larger tires.

    crossfire 150 rims

Does anyone know off the top of their head the bolt pattern for a Tomberlin Crossfire 150R?

    apologies in advance

Wrenching is about 90% of the fun. Designing, fabricating... testing and fixing!

That (jackshaft) would be the next step. 62 teeth would probably help, but would diminish what little ground clearance I have left. And bigger tires just compounds the problem. I have a line on a '76 Honda CB 750. If I don't use the jackshaft I'll swap engines. Will keep you posted. Thanks...

    apologies in advance

Top end is scary! Third gear is way fast enough. I'm looking for 55-60 mph tops. But will be rutting, whooping, and some sand...ing. Low end is more important to me than top speed.

    apologies in advance

Clutch is fresh. Used to race motocross so I'm riding/driving it like a bike... kind of. I configured a foot clutch so it's a bit more difficult to feather.
