but i have a real big driven unit not a 40s driven ,but it still end up to 1to1 in final drive

it goes about 30 40 mph , it got 54t sproket on axle 14 t on jack shaft with 16 in tires no weight in back except engine axle is below the engine

take the widest tabe mesure you can find (1in) and mesure it as if it was the belt and give your self an other 1/2 in in slack and thats how long your proper belt size is

i just got done a nother go kart with a 11hp harber freight engin with 40s tav that weighs 300 400 pounds too and i can make it do wheelies on flat ground il try to post pics:auto::auto::thumbsup:

yeah a clone engine with a 30s tav will work great ,you and your son will have alot of fun ,i have two of the same karts *_* good luck p.s. your jack shaft is missing
