    Predator 212 on coolster 125

Well it’s not completely stock, it’s straight piped with a cold air intake, but yeah we both forgot all about the sprocket, once the one he ordered didn’t fit he was busy trying to fix the rest of it and it slipped his mind. I already told him about the belt though I know how those Amazon belts...

    125 Coolster GY6 to predator 212 swap

Well you’re right about that he does not lol neither do I when it comes to this. He did however attempt to compensate for that by buying a larger sprocket but the hole alignment was off the holes that were in it were too close together to drill in between them. I will let him know this though...

    125 Coolster GY6 to predator 212 swap

I know it’s not a go kart necessarily but the idea is the same and I don’t know where else to ask. Buddy of mine swapped a Coolster 125 GY6 motor out for a predator 212, the 4wheeler will move with no weight on it not fast but will move, as soon as you put weight on it, it struggles. I don’t...

    Bolt size help?

I’m wondering if anybody could tell me the what kind of bolts are used to bolt the chain sprocket to the back wheel hub? I don’t know the exact size for them, and I’m not good at measuring bolt sizes, they are small I’d say probably an inch at most in the threads, 3/16 allen head it’s a 6 hole...

Lmao I’ll go ahead and put the new chain on it in that case😂

So I will double back and deal with the new chain if need be, also one more question, if use a lock washer on the bolt that mounts the sprocket to the jackshaft would I need to put one on the other side where the mounting bolt holds the belt pulley to the jackshaft as well?

Tried to get good angles of the alignment hard to do with how tricky pictures can be lol first one is the view from behind the 12T you can see where the axle sprocket is

Yeah I appreciate that bro I’m gonna get some here around midnight when I get off. Don’t have a garage at my house so I work out of a storage locker for now lol will have them soon

    So close

I certainly will as soon as I get near it, but that’s the first suggestion outside of properly aligned that I’ve heard in awhile. I’m not gonna get ahead of myself so I’ll send the pictures soon but you might be onto something with the bearings and or the jackshaft being loose, I can’t say for...

    So close

Okay, thanks to a lot of patience, and a lot of advice from you fine people I’ve finally gotten to the point where this rusty, dusty go kart is working (to an extent) again. I asked recently about chains and that is still my problem, so I’ll give a quick rundown since my last post. Got the right...

    Me again

Now that right there is useful information for me lol I ordered a 420 drive chain because it looked the most similar to the one I have (I’m not stressing about it chains are cheap and it doesn’t hurt to have a couple extra I guess, plus it had the chain breaker with it) I got it today and it...

    Me again

I would assume so, that’s about the only parts on it that haven’t been replaced at this point lol I mean I could scoot the jackshaft back and tighten the chain a little but for that small adjustment I’d have to order another $30 belt

    Me again

So I FINALLY have this kart ready to go after months, everything lined up, finally got the right driver/driven set up, perfectly aligned on both the belt and chain side. But now of course I have another problem, the chain keeps skipping when going around the 12T sprocket, it’ll go one full turn...

    Wheel help

Oh yeah that’s my fault lol I’m making it more difficult than it needs to be, yes it’s a 5/8” and I didn’t think it did matter I just wanted to be sure I was giving enough info. But you can kind of see in the photo, the hub itself sticks out about 1/4”-1/2” in the middle of the rim, I took that...
