Also, was just playing around with it and I'm thinking a jackshaft is the way to go as I could just use a #35 centrifugal clutch and sprocket on the jackshaft and then a 428 sprocket to the rear axle. For the jackshaft, I will have to use bearing won't I? Anything else I should look out for? And...

Hmm yeah ok. From what I've heard though, a 4.2:1 ratio on 19" tyres with a clutch would not work at all.
