212 Predator performance kits from BMI Karts

Wow. Sounds like a garage full of cool machines. Are you able to help give me an idea of the approximate hp for the 212 after the mods i mentioned? Any comment on the 301cc/8 hp predator?

So many options. You’re saying you regret modding up the 212? Are you saying you’d do the 420 instead? This is going to be ridden in a neighborhood and again he’s 9, so 13 is more than I want to put on there. Any idea ballpark hp on the 212 if I remove governor, add springs/billet...

Non-hemi. Buying a stage 2 kit, gasket set, better plug, and upgraded clutch, all from OMB. Will get fresh Mobil 1 when it's back together. Go Power Sports was very helpful on the phone and let me know the 18 lb springs would make the governor removal safe. I am going to hold off on the rod...

This is what I’m going to do initially. Should be all he needs for a while. $50 https://www.bmikarts.com/Hilliard-Extreme-Duty-34-Clutch-10T-4041-_p_728.html $220 https://www.ombwarehouse.com/predator-212-non-hemi-governor-removal-kit.html $8...

Didn't mean to bark so hard about multiple threads. Billet flywheel and rod are exactly what you do so the engine can rev from here to eternity safely and stay in one piece. Obviously that requires opening up the engine so if you go that route that is the time to install a bigger cam and stiffer...

15” tires. Centrifugal 10T clutch w/ 420 chain. 6:1 gear ratio. If I deleted the governor, I would get the billet flywheel and upgraded rod. Would that alleviate the over-revving concern? As far as creating a new thread to address a new part of the kart, I thought that’s what the sub...

212 Predator performance kits from BMI Karts

Curious how much difference the performance kits from BMI make. Not interested in pulling the engine apart at this point, just spice it up for my 9 year old. Does almost 30 mph stock but he wants more. They have stage 1, stage 2, etc. Let me know what y’all think. Thanks!

    Tires for complete rebuild

Hey everyone. New guy here. Tore down my 30-ish year old go kart that is now my 9 year old's. I am putting 4 new tires on it. What came off were 15x6.00-6 tubeless turf tires. It will be used exclusively on paved streets now, so I was considering getting a different type of tire in that...
