Well I've replaced everything gapped it and it has no spark. Prolly a bad coil and the magnatron swap is my cheapest option! Depending on flywheel weight I could in theory, quite possibly do a flywheel swap too and the coil could be modded to mount up as originally stated.
If I was going to reshape the contact pad I could. Or I could rob a magnetron Coil off of an engine with the same flywheel size. These things just come of over lawnmowers and they work a lot better than your points systems.
So I stole a magnatron coil off my 5hp genorator and went to bolt it on my. 2hp Briggs and it doesn't bolt directly up. I'm planning on just drilling out the holes to make it fit. Any ideas?
lets say that you had a design set up with 1 pulley on the engine, one on the jackshaft, an oversized belt, and a tensioning pulley you can opperate with a lever. I'm contemplating if this will work for a clutch set-up. Thoughts?
