Yeah, It all needs to come off, so I was hoping the vibration would make them even looser. I'm thinking I'll really just have to saw the entire axle off. A new one is only like 30 bucks if im correct.
I found out why gas was pouring out of the carb constantly. It wasn't gunky gas or gunky gas tank, it was that the foat wasn't adjusted correctly. So after adjusting the float, the gas didn't leak out and the engine would idle for a good while. But the engine still needs a tune up or something...
Mega bump: An update on progress now that its warm outside some how. 80 Degrees in January?
I've got about $300 max that Im able to invest in any other parts I need now that i've bought my school books. Just need to get that axle, and tear down the engine and find out why it doesn't work. I'll...
nah, just the orange paint like the dukes of hazard and exact frame. I suspect the bottom skid plate where the rebel flag once was, was removed and a thicker piece of steel was placed there. Because the floor plate in that kart didn't seem to be original, as it looks like a piece of oxidized...
Some of you may remember me slightly for having problems with an old painted over rebel flag gokart similar to another members here..
Today I was at my other property and since the pond was so low I saw a gokart frame sticking out of the water, i jumped in and tied a rope around it and pulled...
Hmm.. Sounds interesting indeed. Tell me what I need to do to the cart then. :D
Other wise, on the previous page, can any one tell me about my problems i've encountered?
I was actually planning on sanding it all down completely and repainting it black with a bit of green for the wheels. Are you asking for the frame? Not sure how youd get it, and its my only cart
So the new carb came in the mail today. I bolted the engine back up to the frame so it wouldn't rattle much. Hooked the new fuel line up to the carb, cranked it up, it ran for a few seconds. Did that a few times and got it to sorta idle then it died and gas started pouring out of the air filter...
I scraped off some paint all around the cart, and the rest of the cart is orange, but the floor panel and seat seems to have been replaced once before. Unless under the black then blue of the floor panel there is more to it.
Greetings!
My name is Nick and I've already started a thread on my first go kart build.

I've rebuilt a few weed-eater motors in my days, but that wasn't enough to satisfy me. So i purchased a gokart and motor from a friend and so far I'm...
Well sadly One of the rims broke under pressure, as I stupidly tried to pull it off with a pully puller. My attempts with wood ended up breaking the wood before the wheel would budge.
:mad2:
The plus side is. The two front rims come off easily so they haven't been destroyed, And I dont plan to...
