Go Kart? Nay, Mini Trailer Project.

I will take more photos of it today, personally I've done research on it, I've had it for a decade I haven't seen anything that close to it at all. It also won't really be much of a hack job the steering I only need to cut the base holding the steering shaft on and that could be welded back on...

Go Kart? Nay, Mini Trailer Project.

I have an old go Kart I don't know who made it or how old it is, if I had to take a guess, I would say 80's or 90's it to me looks like it's a 3 wheel one, if anyone happens to know what kind it is let me know, but it's not important, it isn't going to be a Go Kart for long, I am going to turn...

My throttle cable wasn't out of place, but I just switched the carb to a PZ20 and it works fine, maybe not getting enough gas I need to find the jets that came with it and go up a size or two on jet size, or just up the needle more. But otherwise it's quite fun and responsive with the new carb...

It's a generic carb, also I know there are different filters with different pore sizes and such, I've used this type for years didn't know it's meant for the street.

Do you have a link to any suggestions that I can look at to get an idea for one to put on it? I'm still sure I need a bigger jet. Also, because it'll start up and idle fine, but I have to give it a small press on the gas first.

It's Alive! New PZ20 Carburetor works on it, got a new throttle cable on it as well and a different exhaust and it runs and drives good. Needs more fuel to air mixture though so I think I'll need to swap the jet for a larger one. Got it up to 24MPH. Not sure if that's it's top speed it'll go...

Okay thank you, what my plan is since there is an O Ring on the carburetor is to butt that up against a plastic carburetor plate that has an O Ring on the otherside against the engine, or just use the gasket on the other side that sits against the engine head I'll figure that out tomorrow. The...

Okay so life has kept me pretty busy haven't been able to do much work on the kart, anyways I want to swap the carb to a Performance carb or just any old top throttle carb that will work for it and maybe you all can help me with choosing a carb that will work on it, it does not need to increase...

The throttle side port of the carb is 24mm, I'm not sure of the choke size, I'll have to measure that tomorrow. I happen to have a muffler on another lawnmower type engine that would sure quiet it down, I'm going to measure the manifold and see if it will fit on the engine or not.

It's a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard 9HP Engine, supposedly it's displacement is 350cc from what I was told. Edit: According to some paperwork from B&S I just found it's 297cc displacement. My main goal for swapping the carb out is to have better throttle control and a more accurate running...

Okay, I will do that tomorrow and find out the precise measurement between both centers.

I own multiple tape measures, however in my experience measuring at an angle usually produces a longer measurement than one straight across due to the extended distance, I measured it again and it looks like 8 3/16" but I measured it in the dark again.

How would you accurately measure center to center with one shaft in more putting the tape measure at an angle?

Possibly, I was using a flexible sewing tape measure to measure, and the belt that came off measured 33" on the outside of it, worst case it's coming from Amazon free return.

Ordered a comet belt for it, it'll be here next week can't wait to rip it around more. I saw on YouTube other people putting performance carbs on their go karts and I would like to do the same, I believe from the research I did, I need a PWK 34 carburetor correct me if I'm wrong, anyone have...
