Hi, I haven't been on here for ages and my interest in this kind of thing has been rekindled by finding my old gx140 in pieces in the shed. I need to get a new exhaust valve guide and gudgeon pin circlips for it, but I can't find anywhere in the UK that sells them for gx140's, just the 160. So...

I just measured the bore of my GX140 and the wear really isn't as bad as I thought, so thankfully I don't need to get oversize piston and rings (can't find them anywhere). I'll just buy a new set of standard rings, but the cross hatching on the cylinder has gone and I was wondering what you lot...

I probably will go with a kart because I'm not very old and I won't need much power to get me up to a reasonable speed.

Thanks I'd downloaded that but hadn't seen that. On the engine the exhaust valve seems to have a weird floating valve guide, I've looked for a diagram but can't find one. Does anyone have a diagram or a picture of inside the rocker box?

Hi there, I'm Henry, from South West England. I recently was given a gx140 and am planning what to do with it so I thought this site looked like a good place to get some more info on it and some ideas. Looks like I'll learn a lot here.
