Thx suburban, I'll pass it to the wife.
Any regular sewing machine will work, HD is NOT needed.
Here's a pic of the YellowJacket with the floorboard painted and rollcage pads installed. I used some water pipe insulating foam for the padding and wife made the vinyl velcro on sleeves.
That's rustoleum engine enamel, only type I found that color in.
Credit for the seat goes to my wife, I cut the boards she did the rest
Thx for the comments, I'll post up some more pics this weekend, we've got the floorboard painted with bedliner coating now, and my wife sewed some...
What exactly are you looking for? new used? your title said frame/chassis,
I just wondered, I saw you were in Houston area,
If you are looking for a fixer-upper what about this,
http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/1430673248.html
I just bought this off craigslist for one of my son's B-day...
This is where we're at so far, most of the hard work is done I think.
Cleaned and painted the frame. Didnt realize it was a live axle until we stripped it down, lol.
My wife made a new seat for it, though we're redoing the upper half, making it wider and a bit taller.
One of many irons in the fire. We picked up this old yellowjacket a few weeks back. Gave $60 for it. Seized engine, flat tires, lots of bugs in the seat!
We have been taking pics of project but just recently joined DIYGoKarts, so I thought I'd start posting the progress.
The kart:
I just bought them both,
I plan on taking that twin off the kart it came on, and using it for a two seat buggy I want to build for me.
I'm considering using the engine/tranny out of the four wheeler for a smaller buggy for my son.
Why wouldnt the twin make a good cart engine? I figured it...
Just got this kart and four wheeler Tues for $200
Couldn't pass it up, figure I can use the front susp pieces off the four wheeler for the front of an old manco kart my son and I are modifying to be more of a dune buggy. May try to use the engine also, but I dont know anything about these...
Well I was shopping BMI and saw some carlise 16/8-7 trailwolf tires cheap! 16.95
We have this kart that has that size tire/rim on it.
Was looking for another set of wheels.
(also this kart's wheel/axle is 7/8 hex!)
LMAO, i tried, didnt find any, guess not looing in right places, just thought someone here might have run across something,
i dont think it's a very popular rim,
thanks though

Looks like it, I just ran across this page a couple of days ago while looking for an electric start clone setup.
Does anyone know if these...
Ours run $159.00 here, and they send out a $60 coupon about every 2-3months, I just got one in the new mail flyer last week, going to get me another $99 one next this weekend :wai:
