Got the spark plug today, the RIGHT ONE!! I didn't know that you could run an engine with the wrong spark plug?!? Hope it didn't hurt the engine much Didn't help with the sputtering at all.

OK I'll unbolt the motor and see if I have some wiring under there that is shorting out. That's where it would be, right?

Sooooo, I think I'm supposed to have an RN4C Champion plug in there. The plug I pulled just now is a RC12YC ?!? The two don't cross reference. That's probably not good. Right?

It did have the red bulb. And does now too, I didn't want to mess up the linkage or anything, so its a clone of the original. Tho I wish I had adjusting screws and a choke too!

I bet you're right, these things look better suited for the job compared to what I have, and it appears they are easier to get your hands on locally too. When I replace the other side, I'll check the thread direction and use this on at least one side of the cart. Great idea Slider, Thanks!

So what do you do? Slide the tie rod through it with a nut on either side? And if so, wouldn't it just wear away at the threads on the tie rod, making it nonadjustable? Edit: I did some more looking, you mean something like this.. see second picture
