I rebuilt my first mb165 for my nephew for Christmas

I was having a really tough time getting the rear BRAKE (lol) adjusted...
ok so if i am understanding you want me to pull the lever arm off the break where the cable attaches and move it a few notches to the forward? i was thinking as well..just cant figure out how it got so out of adjustment..
i will do this and report back

Yep I sure did mean brake..oops
All parts, springs and brackets are there from what I can tell..
The drums are in great shape and function correctly when off..I can see the as the lever is pulled and it turns a flat end to the rounded side opening the pads that in turn press in the drum
I did...
So as I assemble the bike I put the rear tire on and started to put the break cable on..can't seem to be able to adjust the cable tight enough..the nut bottoms out
Will a worn out loose cable cause this? Just wanted to be sure they stretch that much or if I'm missing a trick or something...
I have the seat getting recovered by a guy I do a lot of work for..and the tins are ready for reinstall I sanded them and painted up nice..
As for the engine..I was going to replace it and keep,this one for my next project..my nephew lives in Texas and I am in fla so I won't be able to help him...

Yes the flange is pinched at the edge of the bearing I was trying to pound it out the other side
