Cool! Thanks Hooooots. Is there a reason for the short key?

This is my first go cart build and I just received my clutch in the mail. I noticed the key was not the full length of the bore. It is only about 25%. Is this normal?

Just ordered a live axle and hubs from Northern Tool that have 1/4" wide keyways. I am not sure of the height of the keyways. Does anyone know if the keyways are 1/4" tall that would require a 1/2" tall key to fill in both sides. I wanna have these ready when my order comes in.

Just want to know how to order an axle with hubs. When the hubs are mounted to the axle are the hubs wheel mounting surface close to the advertised axle length? I'm a bit confused on which axle type to choose, solid, threaded or threaded shoulder? Planning to start building the chassis while...
