I thought about this a bit after watching the engine run for a bit - I would image the shaking of the motor would cause fuel to end up coming out the overflow - all is well.... It's running great at the moment, I haven't put it under a load yet though. I was planning to get it on the kart this...

Can't say for certain that's where it's dripping from but it's a brand new carb, shouldn't the float stop it from getting too high? It's metal maybe it needs adjusted I dunno

It's much smaller than 1/4, likely more than half that size.

Omg I was so worried about trying to run the motor on the mikuni, the jet will be wrong this won't work, I bet the fuel tank won't gravity feed right so on.... Hooked up the fuel and a shut off valve, tried to see if the valve worked, got fuel into the carb, screw it let's give it a couple...

So I took the carb apart again for forget investigation on the fuel shutting off. I cleaned the needle valve and filled a pan with gas to check if the float would float... Which the swivel end does not but the other end did. Reassembled and if you push the float all the way up it sticks closed...

I think it turned out pretty well, there wasn't as much play as I thought but still enough for movement, packed outside of bearing with kwiksteel after cleaning the surface and shoved in, pealed off excess.

I still think the kwiksteel will do it though - getting things straight as possible is the key, but I think it'll work. If I could find a rim for my dang tire like the one above that was cheap I'd be all over it but it doesn't seem anything is that way these days.

Mad - not sure your idea is quite the direction I would go, but there are some very good points within it! I attached a picture that is similar to what I'm working with - not my exact as I'm not home to take the picture. I'm first going to test how much play I have or don't have with the bearing...

Actually I really like that idea, that may be perfect! Hopefully I can find some pipe laying around for spacers - I'm sure I have something. I was able to save at least 2 of the factory spacers. Maybe 3 if I can find it lol

The issue with the hole saw is I'd be filling an 1 3/8" hole. I may still try the bead, we'll see how things play out

I like the shim idea, also was suggested to use a center punch in 3 places, triangle like... I'm looking for another rim but haven't had much luck in locating what I'm after for a reasonable price.

Wow, no idea the carb bowl holds that much. Pending weather I may get back to it before the weekend, also depends on wake time but I got whole bunch of toys in the mail for it today and more coming tomorrow! This is my 5th wife, she's pretty great though! We've stayed together longer than any of...
