    Yerfdog Spiderbox, Briggs 1550 help

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I'll pass on the Juggernaut clutch. Honestly I'm pretty pleased with the 30 series. I'll keep put with that and maybe mess around with some gearing. I have sprockets to gear it all the way to 9.5:1. Really curious to try that out and see what it's like. The take...

    Yerfdog Spiderbox, Briggs 1550 help

Has anyone used this clutch before? 30 series 'juggernaut". https://www.gopowersports.com/super-30-series-driver-the-juggernaut/?gclid=CjwKCAiA7t3yBRADEiwA4GFlIzHKT8yo0x_JR5J63Xboa0OI_H7qAwyizmjS55Ezuiui-0wKG1IOrxoCSJsQAvD_BwE Is so, worth the price? Comparable to the 40 series?

    Yerfdog Spiderbox, Briggs 1550 help

Got the mikuni 34 mm carb mounted with some a Home Depot plumbing section special custom intake lol. I was skeptical that it would even work, or at least that Jets would be way off. First real pull after it was mounted it fired right up. Couldn't believe it. Took it for a quick ride, and it...

    Yerfdog Spiderbox, Briggs 1550 help

Had some fun on the kart today. Not much for top end speed, 30 mph maybe, but man it's got some torque. Especially with using a knock off 30 series. Will do donuts on dry payment pretty easily which surprised me. An eBay special mikuni 34mm round slide will be arriving Wednesday. Next weekend...

    Yerfdog Spiderbox, Briggs 1550 help

I would prefer to keep this engine if at all possible. If I do decided to go another route, a predator 420 would definitely be my 1st choice. I think before I give up on the 1550 I will try messing around with a much larger mikuni carb and some different jets. The torque is impressive, would...

    Yerfdog Spiderbox, Briggs 1550 help

Has anyone had any experience with a Briggs 1550 snow series engine? I got one mounted on a Spiderbox. With a 7:1 gear ratio it has great low end torque. The 1550 stands for 15.5 ft pounds of torque, so it's got plenty of power to move the cart around. However the max RPM is really lacking, even...

Bought a new go kart, anyone recognize?

Thanks for the great info. There are a ton of aftermarket parts since it's a yerfdog I have discovered which is awesome The Briggs is going to push the 30 series for sure, time will tell if it'll hold up. I'm going to need a source for quality belts. I will post on this thread as I work on the...

Bought a new go kart, anyone recognize?

Are there any threads of mounting a gearbox to a TC? I have been thinking about how to would be done, I think the hardest part would be spacing and keeping everyone exactly straight

Bought a new go kart, anyone recognize?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed the 30 series will hold up. The GY6 was gone when I got it. Not sure what happened to it, the guy who sold it to me bought the Briggs 1550 but never hooked it up completely. In a perfect world the 30 will work great I'll be able to get a gearbox like this one...

Bought a new go kart, anyone recognize?

Sorry the pictures aren't too clear, the snowblower engine is already mounted on the cart. The engine came with the cart when I got it. I have a new 30 series comet clutch I'm going to put on it but I have doubts that it can handle the torque. 40 series converters are so dang expensive.

Bought a new go kart, anyone recognize?

Just purchased this go kart, was wondering if anyone knows who made it? Anyone had any luck with the Briggs and Stratton snow series engines on a go kart? Not much info online about them. Not sure on the HP rating but torque rating is 15.5 ft/lbs. Any info would be awesome.
