I have a manco go kart that has reverse on it and for some reason the reverse box clamshell is slightly apart causing grease to sling out. I have tried messing with it to get it back together but it is still gapped. I can push one side in a little but it wont stay and I am not sure why its...

It is a comet 40 symmetrical torque converter. Both the driver and driven have sloped sides.

I have a small amount of room I can move the driver due to a chain running below, I will grind down the spacer as much as I can and maybe add a washer/spacer to the driven? I didnt think it looked right after much standing and staring ....:)

I already have the chain on the kart, I am just replacing a sprocket and trying to get the correct one from grainger...I can always order one from the net but with shipping and wait time......

Ok, I get it now. I picked this sprocket up at Grainger and the teeth were too fat to fit in the chain pitch, should I get a #41 or a #35 instead? everything else fit great except the fat teeth.

I picked up a drive sprocket for my gokart buggy from Grainger and the teeth are to fat for the chain, the specs on the kart says I have a #420 chain, the sprocket I picked up is for a #40....does chain get smaller as the numbers go up? Will a #41 fit a #420 chain? :confused:

I thought about that after doing some research, but I had to widen the mounting holes to the sides and step drilling them would have been tedious to say the least. At least this way I can make sure the nuts are on securely with enough threads to keep them there, thanks to thread locker. I...

Just to finish this topic out, I did find some threaded rod in metric sizes at Fastenal and they work like a charm, none of the box stores carries metric sizes, just in case anyone was wondering. THANKS

BIMGO! great cheap idea!! This may be a dumb question but if I take out the carb mounting bolts do I have to do anything to the carb, such as replace gaskets?

I am installing an intake adapter on my subaru kart engine and I need longer carb mounting studs, does anyone sell these? Also I will double nut the bolts and unscrew them from the block, is there any tips so I dont break them off....cause that would suck/:ack2:
