Sorry. Yes it is a briggs and stratton 5hp. But why would it run great for an hour and then start having problems?

I am running my go kart hard off-road. Lots of breaking and hard accelerating. It was running great for over an hour until all of the sudden it started losing power and then cut out within 30 seconds. It starts right back up but runs very weak and the most it will run for is about a minute if...
