My favorite is a Martini-Henry in 450/577. It's a single shot but if you place your shot where you should it'll take down a moose, elk, black bear, or deer. I wouldn't use it on grizzley unless I had to, but for many years the record grizzley was taken by a little girl with a .22 rimfire. (self defence)
As for that 30-30 on bear, when that caliber came out over 100 years ago, it was considered the hottest thing since sliced bread and was used on all sorts of game even grizzleys and polar bears. It's just fine for black bears but we have much better choices for the really big beasts now.

I'd rather have a Calico mini-gun. I've seen a few versions of the Calico where two actions from a 10/22 (or a pair of .30 carbines) are mounted side by side on a tripod, then a crank action is fitted through the trigger guards. As the crank is turned, first one barrel fires, then the other ... kind of a two-barreled Gatling gun.

So, this being a gun topic... what would be best for cleaning up rust? i recently picked up a quite hefty pellet gun, then not thinking it got left inside our Jeep with the windows on a muggy night... and now its got some rust.

Any suggestions would be great! :)

Weve got a British 303, and a 67 model Winchester 22( i think its a Winchester)
