anyone know of a gearbox that is rated for 13hp or higher and that i can use with my comet 40 series? the driven portion is a 3/4" bore

and im also assuming that the gearbox would just attach onto the driven portion of the TC in place of the jackshaft

Ya just forward and reverse! I think reverse would be a nice thing to have and ya the gearbox that I found was like 400 bucks! I thought that was a but pricy and if I doo find a decent price one i will post a link for you guys

go to argoatv.com and look under there gear division. i used an old argo gearbox for one of my karts. its really geared down tho.

those used to be like 99.99.

they do hold up if that is in question, 12 hp, maybe more. since it is posi, you may be able to use it as a jackshaft if you do not want to use it as an axle. there were some on ebay for 149 or so.

I have a old 80cc bottom end of a bike engine and I plan on using it for a trans for a 13hp clone. With this I can use the bike clutch, so I can save money not using a comet CVT.

they are about the size of a 6.5 clone, but with around 10lbs of gears in the tranny.

Not real sure on the weight, I don't think that it's that heavy.
