I´m not sure about the amount of money spent, but I´d say you are right! a hundred bucks seams reasonable (not counting the new motor). the motor i got for a 2-day job
all the metal for the frame i have had laying around for a long time! and some parts, like gauges/exhaust system and such were even donated :biggrin5: so it may not seam lowbudget, but it sure is to me!

at this moment my dad is slowing my build down cuite a bit! his new project is laying around in the garage in hundreds of bits, giving me no space to my build. I can hardly see the kart at all!! , but I´ll get it done !

and yes...BrigsTwins. we do have snow here, but unfortunatly not for long!

I´ve welded the suspension supports, and I bought 2 used shocks at a swap meet for approximately 5 bucks, cheap right! But those weren’t much stronger than the first ones as I thought. So it´ll have to be 2 shocks on each front tire! I´ve tried that setup and it will work perfectly!

And also I have to adjust the steering, couse when turn any direction, one tire turns more than the other (ex: when I turn right, the left tire turns more right in comparison between the two)
the steering wheel goes 360 (180 each direction)

you want the outside tire to turn slightly less than the inside tire. how much does that kart weigh? it looks heavy. GL and post a video of it running when you get it going!

a lil` bit of progress ! all the shocksupports are finished, and the bearings for the A-arms are fabricated, so the front end is completed. and i mounted the other steering wheel that i got sheap at a swapmeet, i think it´s much better than the other one! this one is smaller.

oh... and i´ve fixed the steeringproblem as you can see!

a word of caution, make a habit to grind materials when migging....

rusty metal like that you may not see the burn in you want giving you a weak joint. other than that it looks fantastic! the wheel and new shocks are sweet

you´re right! i should have grinded and cleaned the material better before welding, it´s jus that there are so many welds and there for very much grinding/cleaning. Thats what i love when working on new material! that you dont have to clean it! I´m sord of rushing towards the testrun! which i hope a can do within a week!

and maybe i´ll get a video up on youtube.. who knows

yup, i have never really worked with new material, i´m used to working with rusty material, because thats what i have in stock!
yes i knew there was a greasy coating on new material, i should have said that it´s easier to clen new compared to rysty material.

And maybe rushing is not right word, i´m working harder because of the snow-situation around here in sweden, its about to melt soon... but i´m almost done :drool5:
