Ever since I moved from the other house I left that house telling myself no more hacking stuff and junk and just JUNK.

Plan A is doing stuff correctly in a way that is neat and orderly.

Plan B is enforcing plan A

So I’m sticking to the plan and cutting everything to do with the driven back off and starting over. Setting the chain tension correctly so there is no need for a tensioner.

Two hubs ordered and on the way. Two rims will be ordered soon enough.

urghhhhhhh I have had it for today. Not sure how many times I can screw up drilling four holes into a couple pieces of square tube but here I am finding out

I hope that wasn’t RP‘s last piece because if it was this project is doomed. NOT REALLY eventually if it was RP’s last piece I will find some and pay for it but urghhhhhhh free was so much better. Today was a STE-RUGGGLE IMG_9690.jpegIMG_9691.jpeg

Take a break. Get some sleep. Look again at your situation and say: Why is this happening? You can do this!
~sometimes ya gotta away and get back to it another day~ Bill K. The greatest machinist to walk this earth.

Tomorrows job is to get another round of square tube and slow down. I was just rippin today and if I would have kicked it back a notch I wouldn’t have had so many screw ups.

We‘ll get there

You still need a bigger kart. But the marine style deadman switch is a great idea.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Now if you’re a diehard Ken-Bar loyalist and it can be no other make, they DID start to produce buggies as seen in my ID thread. You need something more stable, perhaps wider that the standard/classic flat frame kart. And maybe some wheelie bars haha.

Just noticed the separated tie rod end(s) in post #87. Now you rolled it or got catastrophic but it just shows how flimsy those are.

That was his last piece of square tubing.

Now I have to find somewhere to buy some and it has to be thick stuff like I had to work with the first time. I’ll hit up the junkyards but I’m not sure if I’ll find any like I need.

Whole project is basically falling apart.
