I just watched dude live when he should not have.

This is not AI he blipped the throttle and the thing blew into many many pieces. He was untouched and unharmed.

A man can do anything stupid and succeed, so this does not predispose me to fear the exploding flywheel myth and suddenly become too scared to leave the house. Nice looking polished flywheel but I’m with Edwin….

…what the heck am I looking at? The pirate ship wheel appears to be a ”crown” of sheet metal but the ball bearings and water …I bet those were part of the explosion

I‘m looking for Scott’s video this morning and cannot find it again. I do not know if it was uploaded to YouTube I will search.

The liquid and ball bearings were a fluid balance attempt the fluid ring and ball bearings is what exploded not the flywheel. He had his hand on the throttle blips the gas and everything blows to absolute pieces.

The video is not on youtube and I cannot copy the video link from the (predator 212/224 builds page) on Facebook. The best I can do is say go to Facebook 212/224 builds page and use the pages search function to search Scott Murphy. his video is still up and yes steel balls in the flywheel and on the man for even attempting this.

You can save this picture of the flywheel put it into google images and it will bring up Scott’s video on the Facebook group and you don’t need to be logged in to view it. The thing exploded and started to rev up harder after all the added weight was off the flywheel.

Plastic fuel line, steel ball bearings and some type of oil (Flammable??!!) to balance a flywheel? It was already balanced, and he is lucky he didn't get perforated!

Im fully flabergasted. Someone with the skill to produce such a thing doesnt have the forethought of structurally sound components?

Wait! This genius put a plastic hose of some sort filled it with steel slingshot ammo and secured it to a flywheel of some sort of soft copper tabs?
and was stupid enough to actually start it up?
Wow, he deserves the Darwin award!
Then to be proud enough to post it?
