recently orderded a belt for my go cart. I measured from center to cemter like required and got 67/8 and driven pulley at 7 inch. Also is asymmetric. When I went to install it was clearly way to tight and would was hardly long enough to even touch the driver pulley. Did I message wrong or what? I did exactly what I says when measuring. Im confused

Pull both the driver and the driven clutches off. Lay them on the floor. Put the belt around them, and pick them up together and put them on their respective shafts at the same time. You can't just slip the belt over the clutches while they are in place.
It was the exactly measurement from shaft to shaft. That what it was if it's wrong that's how I bought it. But no worries I took the entire thing apart re welded a couple things and bam done and done
