Anyone got any ideas for like rubber grommets etc that I could put around this steering shaft? The rattling sound is louder than the engine lol. I thought about rubber washers, but I feel like those will just work their way back up the shaft.

Oh like a schedule 80 sleeve? A little practice and a heat gun and you can make PVC pipe do a lot of interesting and useful things.

Nothing special but worked perfectly. Another, "leave works well enough alone".

Lol let me know if you want more in depth photos. I know you like photos.

One photo is enough, but what’s the wall thickness of the PVC? I see it is slit and has a custom hose clamp friction device, or does that control how tight it is? Too tight and you can’t steer?

The PVC is cut on both sides as it was too large of a diameter. Clamped to the steering shaft, rotates with it. Replaces the bushing thats supposed to be there. Id never put tension on a steering mechanism. This stuff may not look like it, but it has to be safe enough for the kids.
