Seconded on the dirt bike engine. There's tons of videos on YT about "shifter karts" but I think this one was pretty cogent and the guy shows how he did it along the way and nothing too fancy or complex. I think you need a sidewinder race kart frame like his so the engine is out in the air stream as opposed to a rear engine kart. The guy in the video has pretty good fabrication skills.

Denny I just realized that I forgot to mention that the 60cc 2stroke motor I have is on my Kawasaki Kx60 and I wouldn't mind using it but wanted to know weather I should just buy a used 125cc.Welcome Earthling? How do we know you are an actual hu-mon?

The plot thickens… the choice is now between TWO dirt bike engines. Are these both 2 strokes or what?
Is the Kindasucki bike trashed and/or worthless except for its engine? I’m not into cannibalising a perfectly good bike for its engine unless you’re just borrowing it for a while. The engine in the videos is a 200cc Lifan fyi.

no its still a almost mint condition 1986 kx60 and its a 2 stroke but if I buy a different motor its gonna be a 125cc 2 stroke. Plus it'll most likely just be for a while.

I still say 125. 60cc is kinda small to push a kart. Sell the bike and use the money.
can't sell the bike I bought it off my aunt for $200 no bill of sale or title.
