Shaved and welded head, but pitting??

Hey everyone, screaming deal on this head, however the welding that was done has some severe pitting. Is this going to affect anything adversely? Should i pass because of it? Nothing to worry about?

Looks like a practice head for a rookie welder.
Id assume that would create spots for carbon build up and cause preignition and poor flame travel.

Looks like a good candidate for you to try your hand at welding now. Couldn't make it worse.

I kind of thought so myself, im in no position to weld on it i dont have a tig or any decent welder for that matter at this point.

Fill the holes with JB Weld.
