Where can I find this Drive Wheel?!?

Looking for: P/N 8499B Drive/Engine Wheel
Go Kart: Manco Critter 2 Model 415
Tire Size: 145/70-6

Hey all! Have searched the site but no luck. Picked the above go kart up for my kids a week or so back. Took it out one time and noticed the chain was off center when unloading. After some head scratching I've found that it has the wrong drive wheel. If the inner bearing is properly seated on both hub & spindle, the wheel sprocket rides about 2" left/outside of the clutch gear. I tried multiple ways to make it work with 0 luck. The previous owner removed the C clips from bearings, shoved 5 of those suckers in the hub to stabilize, and had himself a nice little in-out free floating hub. That was the only way to get the chain/sprockets on center...sometimes. Needless to say, I'm not letting my kids ride on that. The problem is they don't make this go kart anymore and I can't find the correct wheel. I'd sure appreciate any help. Thanks!

I checked them but didn't come across the wheel.
What you're saying is, put nuts between the sprocket and hub flange where I drew the red line? I'd need to buy longer gr. 8 bolts and about 20 nuts, 4 or 5 on each, but that would probably work if it's safe to be extended that far.
BTW, pictured is of the "floating" hub and pushed all the way to the right. Correctly seated on the bearings, the wheel moves left ~2".

Agree with Denny. It looks correct as per the manufacturer's exploded-view diagrams. I don't understand the "floating hub" description and your photos do not show much error except that the sprockets appear slightly misaligned (but that could be an optical illusion). Is the kart throwing its chain?

I want to see it disassembled but it does seem reasonable to adjust sprocket alignment with washers/bolts or whatever it takes *within reason*

Sorry for the lengthy post -
The wheel assembly (sprocket & brake drum included) will slide left and right 2" while driving - can't see that in the pic. This is caused by the inner bearing not being secured. This style of bearing should have a C clip resting in a groove near the edge of the bearing. If the C clip remained on the bearing, as it should, the shoulder on the spindle would stop the bearing/wheel, as it should, not allowing it to slide over the frame (passed the spindle shoulder) more toward the engine. However, for the sprockets to align as it sits now, the hub has to slide past the spindle shoulder (where the bearing *should stop) toward the engine. Can't slide it past the shoulder for alignment with the bearing stopping it, so the previous owner removed the C clip from inner bearing, slid 3 additional bearings in the hub to help stabilize it (see ex. pic) slid the hub assy toward the engine to align sprockets and called it a day. The wheel nut is bottomed out on the threads so it can't go any tighter and there's nothing stopping the inner bearing side and this is where the 2" play comes in... floating hub assy.

From the pix I've seen online (1 attached), there's not much of a gap between the hub and sprocket which tells me they didn't gap the sprocket from the hub to obtain alignment.

Spoke with GoPowerSports and they said this will fit. That hub face where the sprocket goes sure looks a lot closer to the wheel than what I have. Going to try the longer bolts with spacers to push the sprocket closer and have a properly seated inner bearing. If that doesn't work out I'll buy the one from GoPower

I’ve got the same cart for the kids. What other users are saying about the oversized nuts being used as spacers is correct. I’m attaching photos of it for reference, hopefully you find them helpful.

I just picked up this one a few weeks back as well. The kids have already given it a beating. I grabbed a torque converter for it (lots of small hills in yard), but am realizing that the engine mounts will need relocated for it to work. I might just let them run it as-is and find something else with a live axle for them to grow into. But with the predator 212 going on sale for $99 next week, maybe it'll make a fun little one-wheel-wonder.

Well, you have to read the fine print. Hazard Fraught is sneaky; they naturally only want your money so they try to steer you into buying that Inside Track Club membership (a tax) but it basically gives you early access to their big sales (and maybe some other benefits), which they exclude from the commoners for a limited time. "Everyone else" has to wait for Friday or the weekend (and honestly that's the only time I'm in their stores so it works out). So get a Rotaderp 212 for $99.99 4/11 thru 4/14.
