Any Power Products fans out there?

Howdy! Does any of you guys still play around with Power Products or Tecumseh 2 cycle engines?
(or any other old smoke motors?)
I have a lot of 2 strokes on shelves in a barn, but I recently bought a couple of AH47 engines, and one is or WAS an actual kart engine, but I don't have a mount to bolt it down. I am looking for an aluminum mount that bolts to the PTO end of the engine and bolts down to a "standard" mini bike or go kart frame.
I do love my Jacobsen J321 Super Torque engines and I have a bunch if any of you need parts.
Let's see some smoke motor conversations!

Love the older two-cycle engines or maybe just the vintage karts and minibikes that were equipped with them. I would not know where to begin with them though, as in what to buy or collect.

Go to the www.vkakarting.com site and ask who might have one for sale. there is one of the vintage karters, Don Axe, that will make you one. He does them for the McCulloch and the West Bends. I do have some Tec HSK 600 and a couple of HSK850's.
Have not yet found a WB in my price range.
Mostly, I convince the wife that these old utility engines COULD be used around the property, and they are cheap.
Generally, our 11 year old son and I do not ride the loud smokers when she is at home.

Ugh, that minibike just looks so BAD-A** with that engine on there, and you know it's fasssst.
Sign me up! But the fly in the ointment is they're just so expensive, vintage or new. Or are they?

The WB is the one they're always talking about but like Sparkwizard, they're out of my price range.

The cool thing about 2 cycle engines is that they were everywhere before the mid sixties. They were on saws, mowers, brush cutters, pumps, generators and just about anything you can imagine. They are still out there, but mostly not being used anymore.
A vertical shaft lawnmower engine, like the Lawn Boy or the old Sears David Bradley engines can all be tipped over and run as a horizontal shaft engine. Chainsaws didn't have governors, and they (almost) all had ball bearings on the crankshaft and needle bearings in the connecting rod.
Chainsaws were the engines used on the racing karts in the early days.
Power Products made engines for so many saw manufacturers that there are old AH47 saws for sale, even now, that a good engine can be found for about $100.

Someone left the whole mower in our junkyard. Had stuff wrapped up in the crank seal. After a cross reference and oreilys trip I got a good engine for free.
