I don't know. Just a pile of junk i assembled. I took some pics of one like it, then built it.
Its more of a buggy than a kart actually, but every part was hand made so it qualified as DIY.
( ok l didn't make the tires, seat etc.)
If i could make it, l did.
Its a 4 year project but maybe the end is in sight.

This photo from post #7 was the game changer for the thread. You showed us the application and the direction of the dirt flow. Key word, dirt. No wonder you were having issues.

Denny is correct in post #11. Those K&N style "minimalist" "high flow" filters are for street use for the most part. You can still use them offroad (and this is the problem) by adding extra filtration; a "sock" and pre-filters and all that but then it becomes sort of self defeating.

What you have done is emulated the air cleaner assembly from something like a Honda Odyssey FL250 that has a snorkel or inlet that is located high above the engine. I would remind everyone to emulate what you see on production vehicles and you cannot go wrong.
