I am trying to see if anyone know what I have. I just bought a Kart that doesn't have any labels telling me exactually what I just bought. The gas tank reads Cross Fire 150 on it and it does have a set of numbers on the frame on the left side, it reads: *HT8HWK4F 4500 13861* and the engine numbers are LH157QMJ. There are some numbers under that engine number but I can't make them out.
I was told by the guy that I bought it that he installed new rings and a new carb and he did start it with a drill using the crankshaft flywheel nut. It ran, but only for a few minutes. I will go through it and see what I find, but does anyone know what I have and is there anywhere I can get information or shop manual for it. I've worked on many cars; such a a Fiero with a SBC which I installed, 72 El Camino 400 SB with 2X4 Tunnel Ram, and so many more; but never a Kart. So HELP..

Cool kart. The engine code you gave is a GY6. Very common in China karts. Cheap replacement stuff all over Amazon. Wiring is below bare minimum. It's simple battery, key, relay starter type wiring. Ignition is a cdi box and a voltage regulator in the mix. There are many wiring schematics on line but are never 100% accurate. Your colors may vary but pin positioning won't.
If it gets too bad the whole harness and all magic electrical boxes attached is like under $100.

Thank you, I'm probably going to start out with a big time clean-up and go from there. I think it's a 11" swing; am I right? I may break down and buy a new engine; but first I'll take a shot of trying to get it running, I suspect it's a carb issue. We shall see...

Is this for you or the kids.

Big engines in these karts are a thing if it's for you.
For now, it's my starter play thing... I will probably do something later - maybe for my 80th birthday next year. Is this a 11" swing arm motor? It appears so, just saw one on Temu ... 150CC 4-Stroke Single Cylinder Complete Kit with Aluminum Heat Dissipation and CVT Transmission for GY6 Scooter ATV Go-Kart for $264 with free shipping. It say's it's a 11" swing arm. Your thoughts???
