Series 40 torqe convertor

Replaced torque converter with new Comet series 40, replacing broken drive pulley. New belt or old belt belt slipping under power. 203791A belt 12 5/8" center shafts. Any suggestions?

Drive and driven both new . New belt and old belt both slip when driving.

I have limited experience with the 40 series. It's pretty much bullet proof when set up right, so I don't get a chance to work on many.
I've only had to replace the driven spring with a "reverse wound driven spring".

Here's some info on the 40 and the reverse wound spring.

You’re going to need one of those reverse wound springs. When you put that in you will also need to switch the buttons to the other side of the ramps also. Also you may need to flip the drive clutch around to maintain proper belt alignment at full throttle. Go to the GoKart Supply and look up CVT operation.

Changed to yellow reverse spring, now works prefect. Thanks for your help.
