I have a 2007 HH SS250 (H/L/N/R). It has a CFMoto 250. The gear box is shot, makes HUGE grinding sound when attempting to movie forward. Engine runs fine. I can't seem find replacement gear box, and ideas? Also, If I just wanted to swap out engine with something larger, any ideas what might fit? Dont have ability to weld new plates or anything. Any ideas?

No expert here. From what I've been reading the Trailmaster and Hammerhead have interchangeable parts. I have a Trailmaster Mid XRX ( non reverse ). Attached is manual and parts for the HH SS250 and GTS250. Tells me they both have interchangeable parts. The gearbox as a whole is not listed but the gearbox parts are with part numbers which might make it easier to find sos you can repair your gearbox rather than replace it. Attached also is a Youtube video of someone repairing a Trailmaster/Hammerhead GTS250 F/N/R gearbox. ( I didn't watch the whole video 48m long ) Anyhow, you might want to message this guy ask for tips, advice ... whatever. You might want to talk to a Trailmaster Distributor and ask if the gearbox for the MID XRX-R ( reverse ) will work on your's.
