Flipped go kart

Hello all, bought the kids a gk110 go-kart. All was fine until one of the boys decided to play Mario kart and flipped the kart. Been a few weeks and now it won't start. I realize oil must have gone all over the place so i waited for everything to sit. Won't crank, key goes in try to start it up and just makes a slight "click" sound. Anyone have any idea what this can be? Also can someone tell me what the piece in the picture is. Looks like some kinda filter or something but haven't had luck finding it. Any advice/help is much appreciated. Thanks!

That part is for venting the crankcase.

Check the battery. The charging system on those engines are not the best.

I agree, battery is weak, the click you here is the solenoid trying to engage the starter

Depending how long it was upside down for, cyl could be full of oil and not letting it turn over

We rolled trucks all time, and buried in slop.

Pull the plu6g, turn over by hand to see if anything comes out....actually to let it out..

You want cylinder empty so you don't hydro-lock it...if it's full or water, oil etc, when piston goes to top dead center with valves closed you can do damage like bent rods.

So pull plugs to relieve pressure,turn over, clean plugs with carb cleaner....if it's had water/moisture..it will dry.

Remember spark, air, fuel ...compression helps.

If it will sit for more than a week with no plug in, fog cylinder so it doesn't rust and stick rings

@Dingocat has a good idea, pull the spark plug and check for oil, if any oil is up there then crank it over and get it out the spark plug hole. If no crank with the plug out check battery. Also check the oil level, make sure to wipe it, reinstall, remove and check. Also check the air filter, if its paper and got filled with oil just replace it, if it’s foam and got filled with oil then look up how to clean foam filter, or @ me.

Edit: listen to Bansil, he really knows what he’s talking about. With some work this thing should be working again! Also, that child doesn’t get to ride anymore
