Is this motor a feasible power-plant for a go-kart?

This is a Genteq ECM motor, it states it has 115V, 60Hz, 1.1A, 4000 RPM, and 15HP. My grandpa says it came from his furnace, and I was wondering if it had enough juice to power a go-kart.

I believe that is a 115VAC motor
...& not really usable (for a kart)
...unless you have a really really long extension cord

For our (go kart) purposes
...VAC (Voltage Alternating Current) is from power lines (like to power houses)
...& VDC (Voltage Direct Current) is from a battery current

IDK, if so, probably complicated & expensive

You'd be better off trying/using a 48V 1,000W MY-1020 motor/controller ($100.00)
...& (4) 12V SLA batteries ($100.00)

1.1 AMP at 115 volts is about 126 watts. I don't remember exactly but it is about 725 watts to equal 1 hp. So your motor is about 1/5 hp. Not 15.
OHHH those fractions and decimal points. A 15 hp. motor would be in a heater for something MUCH bigger than a typical house.

Just replaced 15hp motor in main air handler for the Parish Hall. It weighs 175 lbs. I weigh a little less than that.
1/6hp -1/3hp motor would be standard residential 120vac blower motor for a fossil fuel furnace, most often in mobile homes here in FL.
