WOW! Not used to seeing that kind of vitriol on this forum. Most folks hold their disdain to themselves in favor of maintaining an acceptably sociable forum for discussion of ideas, musings, theories, experiences, reference materials, etc.
I will pretend that the "wtf" directed at me means "why the frown?". That supposedly being the case, it's because 40 years as a leader in my field of unlimited scope HVACR service, design, and redesign of systems have taught me that differential pressure only involves a vacuum (less than 14.7 psi absolute) if one side of the differential actually does involve a pressure less than what is considered atmospheric pressure at mean sea level.
Nubs, while I can appreciate your literal affectation of the word vacuum here as it pertains to pressure, I must ask that you hold your vitriol towards me until you've considered quite literally the statements of the physics of differential pressures whether above or below the threshold of a vacuum as described above that I have posted here. My scope of experience does not force me to be limited to the realm of one-dimensional thinking where all discussions of pressure must fall on one side or the other of 14.7 psia. / 0 psig.
The link below from the manufacturer of the pulse pumps with which I'm personally familiar may enlighten you as to my referencing the lack of vacuum to create a pulse from this manufacturer's pump, especially the part about the built-in spring assist for maintaining a sufficient pulse when differential pressures aren't wide enough apart to provide the performance aimed for in that pump.
No need to respond to this post, unless it begins with a sincere apology to the others on this forum who may be as shocked by your vitriol as I am. Definitely do not apologize to me, my patience is nothing but history now.
