New Brakes - Old Yerf Dog Frame

Hey everyone,
I bought this kart back and june and have been toying around with it since. I recently decided to swap out the terrible stock drum brakes for some new disc brakes. I have the rear axle off the kart, but one of the axle bearings is blocking me from removing the old brake. I’ve tried everything to get it loose, but to no avail. Does anyone know if there is a certain way to remove these, or might it just be rusted on to the extent where it can’t be removed? Thanks!

if you did not get it off with heat, you may be able to cut a slot in the bearing with an angle grinder. or you could buy or make some kind of slide hammer puller that could fit over the axle and grab the bearing.

I’ll have to try getting it off with heat. Would you usually heat it up with a blowtorch or something like that, or are there any household items that could get the job done?

Um I don't know you will destroy the bearing I think, but I think you would at least need a blow torch or maybe oxyacetylene. or you could use a map gas torch. but I am no expert and if you have one I would go straight for oxyacetylene.

map torch would work, in some cases it's easier to just cut the bearing off with an angle grinder.

That's the same axle I have. What type of bearings are those? I'm gonna need 3 sets. I figure I'll use a grinder and cut them off.
I ruined 2 cold chisels trying to get them to move already..
