I think the springer is getting chopped and adapted, too heavy for wheelies but it means I can take off full throttle and not worry about surprises. Also considering making webbed rear fenders to match the front.

Nice touch on the webs. They look really nice.

Yah, the bigger wheel is looking better with the springer front end.

I was hoping I wouldn't need to cut the neck off the vs800 frame, but I may have to. The 21" wheel also affords me a speedometer that if it still works should also be accurate, or close after the dirt bike knobby is added.

The webs were done out of a giant roll of galvanized steel wire or cable of some sort I've had sitting around for 15 years or so, just because I may need it later. Thank you for the compliments!

I set the engine plate too low into the frame so I'm going to have to cut it back out and go with plan b.

Got 4 dirt bike tires for free, all are in really good shape. Also got 7 assorted kart and mower wheels with tires, some good some not, for $10. I really like how that front end looks with the knobby on it, looks mean!

Haven't gotten much done with my trike lately, been busy with a bunch of other projects. Looks as though I'm going to be selling my entry from last year, someone fell in love with the scrap rod and I still get to keep the gx270 from it to get my murray explorer going, still have 4 brand new predator engines as well as a low hour gx160 sitting on the shelf begging for use. Hopefully I'll have some stuff cleared in the garage again later this evening and get the rear half built for the trike, gotta wait for a parts order to be placed on the first and delivery time on top, so I may as well take my time. Thinking about building a mini chopper out of an old ugly roll cage too, ugly on the kart, but upside down it has perfect bends for a chopper frame.

Getting back on task, the 212 hemi has been de-governed, stage 1 kit installed, new cvt waiting to go on. Got some grinding done on the frame today, thinking tomorrow I'll start building the rear end, and I'll need to modify my header somehow, not much for roasting chestnuts...

Well you are right on time my friend! Stage 1 upgrade done other than the pipe, she's welded up stout and feels 100% like a bobber to sit on. Had to settle for a 54t sprocket on the axle and my cvt has a 10t so I think I'm going to run a gear reduction style jackshaft using the sprockets I got to keep from selling my scraprod, should get it to around a 7.6:1 ratio before tire size, may bump up to the 22"s I have in the shed too on the rear.

Well thanks very much! It looks short to me but its easily 6' long, and almost 5' wide at the rear, turns very well for having two flats, I can already tell the differential is going to be really nice on it.

My wife already picked out the two colors for it, but in the name of good fun I'm going to hold out on you guys till all the welding is finished.

Thank you! The strange part is I don't feel like I'm sitting very high off the ground even with all that room under it. My brother and I were talking last night about the possibility of some mild rock crawling with it, I'm strongly considering an attempt at it too.

Hey guys, been a while and been busy with life but I'm finally going to get back to work on this thing. I've acquired a few new toys since I've been gone, I'll post pictures up later in hope's that some tempers have cooled off around here, kinda started missing the forum.

Got a few things a little more straightened out, added a speedometer as well. I'll be adding about an inch to the height of the back of the seat somehow, and I'll need to add the jackshaft housing. Would like to add my 68t axle sprocket, but I think I'll see how it does with the gear reduction through the jackshaft first. Engine is held down finger tight now at least.

Well hey, there's a name I haven't seen in a while! Thanks for the compliment. She sure would have been a blast in the foot of snow we got last week. Both kids will be back in school tomorrow so I'll have a little time to get some welding done and hopefully get to ride it in the next snow.
