As for the smoking hot clutch.... centrifugal clutches don't take well to part throttle input (or "feathering"), they need on/off throttle input so learning to regulate speed that way may be a bit of a learning curve but the clutch will surely appreciate it! As well as regular oiling of the bushing as Mckutzy mentioned!
