Tires are in! And fuel tank idea?!

Got my tires in yesterday, and began mounting them. I really like how this kart is coming together. For a fuel tank I am thinking of stripping the brackets and carboff this old Briggs tank, and mounting it under the steering hoop, and using a pulse pump to fuel the carb. I'm awaiting my throttle and brake cable to arrive soon, and then its test and tune time, followed by stripping it all back down to paint!

Update on fuel tank

Managed to tediously grind the tiny spot welds off of the tank last night, and wire brushed the entire thing down to bare metal. I'm deciding now on an orientation of the tank between the steering hoop. What does everyone think? Long ways with the fill cap facing front or rear, or sideways, and the fill cap toward the side? Awaiting just a few more bells and whistles to get this thing running, with the addition of plugging up the holes on top of the tank from the carb, and welding in a barb for the fuel line. Slowly but surely she is coming along. I think I have decided on yellow for the paint, but still deciding on doing a flake or not.

Nice project! I just noticed your build table is like a table saw. Is that a folding work table of some sort ?

Really like having double duty for huge shop tools. Nice work.

Sorry, haven't been active on here in a while. Yes, its a folding portable work bench. I got it a few years ago for fathers day I think. Its awesome, when fully locked it can support something like a 1,000 lbs??

here is a link for one through northern tools. It must have become a hit, because when I got this one a few years ago, we bought my dad, and father in law one, and I think only paid like $75 and some change for it.
