Have you ever noticed that on many thing like zink plated lag bolts they say,"this product is known to the state of California to cause cancer." So my family always jokes that you only get cancer from it if you live in California

They might be doing it as a precautionary thing, you know the saying, "Everything causes cancer"...just treat it as any other warning label, but with a pinch of salt. I breathe in brake dust every day I turn rotors and clean off brake pads with an angle buffer. So there's a good chance I may be breathing in asbestos, since it was never officially banned from use.

I just had a long talk with the woman about the asbestos use in products today...
Ya.... Brakes still have it in use... some gas/paints have lead, and leaded plastics... still exists.

Briggs flathead head gaskets have contained asbestos in them.
Even the remanufactured ones.

Charming! But it doesn't deter me from them! :lolgoku:

Come to think of it, I actually have a chunk of uranium ore and a chunk of raw asbestos in my rock collection I inherited from my great grandmother!

Obviously I wash my hands every time I open THAT box!

I think I might even aswell...
I know the Asbestos(Chrysotile) sample I do, as that came from Asbestos, Quebec.
Yes that is the town name. Is also under review for renaming, as it kinda has a negative connotation.

high amounts of carcinogens is BBQ ing
California has higher regulation and informative of health concerns than most states.

Learn a lot by watching Forks over knives , found on netflix or Amazon video.

much of the Cancer today is from eating large amounts of Animal protein Americans eat.

I do eat animal proteins, but I dont eat beef every day, more like twice a month. Eating all your required fruits and Veggies actually reverses the damage in the body from eating the bad stuff.

Did you know that there are two types of bacteria in your stomach.
Good bacteria and bad.
Very important to have more than 50% good bacteria, because if you have less, by eating ho hos and hot dogs, taco bell, fast food, etc. you are likely to crave more of it.
Do a test on yourself and you will see that when you eat healthy, you feel great and want more healthy food.
My cholesterol is negative and all my other numbers are excellent.
my metabolism is 8 yrs younger than I am.

I don't eat BBQ like crazy though, just as a special treat. I do legitimately like kale and broccoli, though.

Nope. Automotive channels I watch:

Scotty Kilmer
Stephen Cox
Adept Ape
Eric the car guy

For Go kart related:
CarsandCameras
Rather B Welding
Red Beard's Garage
Moto Mule
Build Break Repeat

Unrelated topics, but still great people to watch for entertainment (not kid friendly at all)

The Rageaholic (Razörfist)
Styxhexenhammer666

Without jinxing myself, for the past couple months, my wife and I have been taking Vitamin C supplements, so far so good. We only take a single 500mg dose each day and it seems to help, no idea though, could just be in our head. We do eat relatively healthy. Could be a lot better. I do eat salads at least once or twice a week depending. I probably should get a face mask for work for doing brakes and whatnot, but I'm not sure if it's even worth it at this point. When I weld, I don't weld galvanized, nor do I use brake cleaner. Though welding stainless steel alloys may cause issues, so I'd read up on the particular alloy you are going to weld up to see any health hazards.
