IIRC, I got my 420cc for $185 free shipping. Nobody heard of Powerland at that time.
You can still find good deals from Powerland Auctions from time to time. I guess the difference is that their main business is generators, pressure washers, and that type of stuff.

I got a 212 off eBay for like $85 bucks new...in hindsight I think it was stolen as they sold a ton and then the store got taken down.

If Paypal covers you, where's the risk?

Could be a fake Paypal link and will 'Phish' you for your info. Check the URL before you type in anything. Shoot, I should be doing this myself just for giggles.

Sorry, I thought I typed more. What I meant to say is there was a similar deal on an RC helicopter that a bunch of guys on an RC forum bought. It ended very badly. A cheap Walmart grade heli was sent from the site (not what was pictured, which was a $500 brushless one) after they paid like $20 for it. PayPal did not reimburse them. I can't remember the reason, but it was something like they were sent a product and since they were sent something, they had to return it for a refund. And of course, by the time you pay shipping it's just not worth it. I worry about this on the engine deal.

As far as checking the URL, what should I look for?

......

It should direct you to https:// which means secure, and the real address: "paypal dot com" and not something else, or some random BS URL with a random string of numbers and letters posing as the legit site.

There's more sophisticated 'spoofing' out there though.
