Going to look at a project kart today. It has a Honda GX390. The guy selling it says that everything is good, except it needs a new clutch. Reading through the forum, I'm guessing it needs a new clutch because he has big 25x8x12 rear tires on it.
So I've read about using a jackshaft and/or torque converter in order to handle bigger tires. If I buy it, I'm going to humbly ask for your help in choosing the right setup there.
My question right now is this: Is this engine mounted sideways? It looks like the engine crankshaft and the kart's driveshaft are running perpendicular to the axles?
Thanks for your help!
