Ive since modified this bike into a death trap. what im looking at doing is removing the handle bar style twist throttle and i want to use the same throttle control like atv's use. it would be alot better at controlling the thing and in the case of accidental wheelies and or accidents when you try to hang on your not twisting the throttle even more.

With that said, are there vendors that have a setup already or how would you all go about doing this? In my head it doesnt seem like a difficult task.

This bike now does 50mph, and from a stand still will shoot from between your legs if you take off just a little to fast.

They call that a thumb throttle.. I had similar thoughts when I was building my bike.. I couldn't find a thumb or a twist cheaply/easily, so I went for a brake lever instead... It works great so far...

Whiskey throttle wheelies that usually turn into a dance with the minibike. LOL
good times. I managed to let off the throttle here some how.

This will work for a Coleman? I didn't think about it until now, but maybe I'll get one!

Thumb throttle and cable on eBay are like $15 shipped. I use them all the time.

Not to hijack this thread but why do motorcycles and minibikes use a twist throttle and ATV, snowmobiles, watercraft, and etc use a thumb throttle?

From what I understand, an atv with the way the bars turn having a twister will accelerate or decelerate in the turn while sitting... a bike leans in the turn so the movement is less.

We put one on my buddies and it works fine. I also have a 50+mph ct200uex. Been thinking about doing it to mine for the same reasons. Lol
